About NYCAR

NYCAR was established in 2001 with the primary goal being to bridge identified gaps between multidisciplinary HIV care providers and emerging knowledge through rapid dissemination of cutting-edge treatment information through multiple media including live and web-based, archived CME accredited programs.

In line with this goal, NYCAR maintains the following objectives:

  • To provide comprehensive, progressive clinical education to a rapidly expanding base of multidisciplinary HIV medical care providers worldwide currently engaged in HIV care to enable them to increase the quality and complexity of care provided to patients with HIV infection and AIDS
  • To expand the base of providers engaged in HIV care to include sub-specialists equipped to treat existing and emerging HIV related co-morbidities.
  • To support the transfer of knowledge into practice as well as the development and sustenance of consultation and referral relationships between hospital and community based primary, subspecialty, and ancillary HIV care providers.

NYCAR is a tax-exempt corporation (501c3) approved by the US Department of Treasury Internal Revenue Service.
